I have looked at all the ways How To Identify Fad Diet Plans. So, avoiding them should not be a problem. Simply look at the facts and it will be glaringly obvious whether a diet is a healthy balanced eating plan or whether it is one of the Fad Diet Plans.

Now, of course you want to know why you have to avoid Fad Diet Plans and this is why I am looking at the dangers of Fad Diet Plans. In my previous post I looked at the danger of malnutrition and now I am going to look at the other very big danger of Fad Diet Plans and that is the danger of dehydration.

The Dangers Of Fad Diet Plans #2 – Dehydration

The sad thing about Fad Diet Plans is that most of the weight you lose is water and not fat. Obviously this can be very dangerous as you can dehydrate and that can be life threatening.

We all know that our bodies can survive for quite a while without food, but not without water. So, if you are following a diet that is causing you to dehydrate you are really putting your health and even your life in danger. No amount of pounds lost is worth that.

What is even sadder about the whole thing is that as soon as you rehydrate again, all the weight you have lost will come right back. The reason is because you lost very little fat in the whole process. The pounds you dropped were not fat, so you did not really lose any fat.

So, why put your health at risk for a few temporary pounds? It is simply not worth it. Stay away from Fad Diet Plans at all costs. Rather go to the page How To Lose Weight Calories and get good advice. Go on a healthy nutritionally balanced diet, lose the weight in a healthy way and it will stay off.
