Because your body goes into starvation mode it gets even better at using fewer calories for all the necessary body functions. This means that even if you eat normal amounts of food, as much as you normally would have to maintain your weight, you will gain weight.

Remember that the loss of muscle also slows down your metabolism as well; this once again makes it very difficult to maintain the new lower weight. You simply cannot win with Fad Diet Plans.

Fad diet plans are a sure way to set yourself up for the well know yo-yo dieting syndrome. You lose weight with one of the Fad Diet Plans. You go back to eating normally again and gain all the weight you have lost plus a few extra pounds. Then you have to go on a diet again and so you go up and down, up and down.
